On November 18, DRC Vice President Liu Shijin met with a delegation of senior Iraqi officials headed by Dr. Thamir Abbas Ghadhban, Iraqi Minister of Investment and Chairman of Iraqi National Investment Committee. Dr. Liu gave a concise and comprehensive introduction to the basic experience of China in its reform and opening up process over the last 3 decades. He also answered questions from the guests concerning Chinese government’s policies to address the inflation and the current global financial crisis. Mr. Yu Bin, Director General of DRC’s Department of Macroeconomic Research and Ms Jiang Xiheng, Division Director of DRC’s International Cooperation Department, were present at the meeting.
