Vice President Hou leads a DRC delegation to Egypt and South Africa

At the invitation of Information and Decision Support Center of Egyptian Cabinet (IDSC) and Ministry of Rural Development & Land Reform of South Africa, Mr. Hou Yunchun, Vice President of DRC led a DRC delegation to visit Egypt and South Africa from November 21 to 30, on the mission of studying the rural transformation and urbanization. During their stay in Egypt, the delegation visited IDSC, Ministry of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, Ministry of Local Development, Desert Research Center and Cairo University. In South Africa, the delegation attended a seminar organized jointly by Ministry of Rural Development & Land Reform and other related government departments of South Africa, followed by a field study tour to a pilot program of rural development which is directly under the leadership of Minister of Rural Development & Land Reform. The DRC delegation also held a meeting with the World Bank’s South Africa Office occurred. Other delegation members included Mr. Han Jun, Director-General of DRC’s Department of Rural Economy; Mr. Wang Hui, Director of DRC’s General Office, Mr. He Yupeng, Senior Research Fellow, Mr. Yu Baoping, Senior Research Fellow, and Mr. Wang Bin, Assistant Research Fellow from DRC’s Research Department of Rural Economy.
