On December 16th, a China-UK workshop on Education, Employment and Labor Market was held in Beijing. The workshop was jointly organized by the International Cooperation Department of DRC and the UK Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). Mme. Sun Lanlan, Director General of DRC’s International Cooperation Department chaired the opening session. Delegates from the UK consisted of the research fellows of ESRC and experts from universities and research institutes interacted with the experts from DRC on topics concerning education, employment and labor market. Mr. Ge Yanfeng, Director General and Dr. Gong Sen, Deputy Director General of Research Department of Social Development, Mr. Lan Weiban, Deputy Director Genreal of International Cooperation Department, and senior researchers from Research Department of Rural Economy, Enterprise Research Institute and Human Resources Study and Training Center, participated in the workshop. The two sides also exchanged views on the possible areas to be cooperated in the future.
