Yu Bin delivers speech on economic situation in Chongqing

Apr 22,2013

Yu Bin, director-general of the Department of Macroeconomic Research of the Development Research Center of the State Council, delivered a keynote speech on the economic situation in China and abroad at the eighth Chongqing Learning Forum. The forum was held at the municipal Party school on April 22, 2013, with Chongqing Party Secretary Sun Zhengcai in attendance.

Yu Bin said China's economy started the year strong and has remained stable. Domestic economic development is in recovery, though it faces a complex international situation and many unfavorable factors.

China still needs to continue to push forward reforms to realize sustainable and healthy economic development. It should tap growth potential, stabilize investment and expand consumption through reform, while carrying out active fiscal policies and prudent monetary policy.

Officials from the Chongqing government and relevant departments were present at the forum.
