The Seventh Capital Forum, with the theme "Capital Forum - Industrial Structural Transformation and Adjustment" and sponsored by the Information Center of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), was held in Beijing on April 27 and 28.

The event covered a wide range of topics related to China's macro-economy, international economic situation, urbanization, opportunities and challenges in industrial restructuring, excess production capacity, and development of the energy, steel, automobile and real estate industries.

A total of about 300 officials, CEOs and scholars attended the forum. Han Jun, vice-minister of the DRC, Zhang Xiaoqiang, vice-miniter of the National Development and Reform Commission, Long Guoqiang, director-general of the General Office of the DRC, and Xu Changming, director of the State Information Center's Information Resource Development Department, attended the forum and delivered keynote speeches.
