Liu Shijin, vice-minister of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with a delegation from the European People’s Party (EPP) of the European Parliament in Beijing on June 19.

Liu introduced China’s macroeconomic situation and future development to the delegation, which was led by Jaime Mayor Oreja, the EPP’s vice-chairman. Both sides also exchanged views on the economic and trade relationship between China and Europe.

Hou Yongzhi, director-general of the Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy of the DRC, and Chen Changsheng, senior research fellow with the Department of Macroeconomic Research, took part in the meeting.
