The China Development Forum 2010, themed "China and the World Economy: Growth, Restructuring and Cooperation", was held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing, from March 20 to 22.
It welcomed at least 600 experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, government officials and representatives from international organizations from China and abroad to the opening ceremony.
Li Keqiang, vice-premier at the time, was present at the ceremony and delivered a speech. He said that under the complicated domestic and international environment, China will endeavor to maintain steady, rapid economic development by transforming economic development and increasing economic restructuring.
Multinational CEOs, leaders of international organizations, renowned scholars and State Council leaders took part in the forum.
During the forum, the participants carried out in-depth discussions and research on the following issues: enhancing and accelerating the change in China's growth pattern, international trade and economic restructuring, the impact of fiscal policies and future developments, globalization of Chinese corporations, dealing with climate change, and increasing global cooperation.
