American economist Jeremy Rifkin delivered a speech on his new book The Third Industrial Revolution at the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) on Sept 9.

Zhang Laiming, vice-minister of the DRC, hosted the lecture. Liu Shijin, vice-minister of the DRC, and Hou Yunchun, former vice-minister of the DRC, also attended the lecture.

More than 50 leaders and researchers from the center, and officials from the National Development and Reform Commission and National Energy Administration, also joined the discussion.
