Li Wei, minister of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) (3rd L) met with Jeremy Rifkin, a US economist and author of The Third Industrial Revolution (fourth L), on Sept 9.

Rifkin introduced the main ideas of his book, and they exchanged views on China's economic re-structuring and energy reform. Sun Lanlan, director-general of the International Cooperation Department, and Feng Fei, director-general of the Research Department of Industrial Economy, also attended the meeting.
