An international seminar on financing problems in China's urbanization process was held from April 10-11. Experts from China, the US, Britain, Germany, Japan and Australia took part and discussed China's urbanization prospects and three financing approaches for urbanization (municipal bonds, PPP and policy bank loans).
The seminar was sponsored by the Department of Macroeconomic Research of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), Asia Development Bank, and "urbanization" research group of the Natural Science Foundation.
DRC Vice-Minister Liu Shijin and Asia Development Bank's chief representative to China, Hamid Sharif, were present at the seminar and delivered speeches.
