DRC does Kazakhstan - Kyrgyzstan survey

A delegation from the Development Research Center of the State Council(DRC), led by its vice-minister, Zhang Junkuo, got a close look at the conditions of the Silk Road economic belt, in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, May 25 - June 1.

 The delegates exchanged ideas on cooperation with the head of Kazakhstan's Economy and Budget Planning Dep't, in Astana. They also took part in a symposium at the Chinese consulate in Alma-Ata, where Chinese backed enterprises gave their own opinions on Kazakhstan's investment environment and economic and trade cooperation.

There were also talks with the heads of Kyrgyzstan's antitrust dep't and of energy and industry dep't during a visit to Bishkek.

They also signed cooperation agreements with the two countries' research institutes, with Hou Yongzhi, director-general, and Sun Zhiyan, a vice research fellow of DRC's Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, and other personnel taking part.
