Zhang Laiming, vice-minister of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), attended a "Welfare System Integration and Sustainable Development" seminar, in Beijing, on June 11, where he addressed the gathering and met with Alain Noudehou, the UN's resident coordinator and United Nations Development Program (UNDP)'s resident representative in China. Before the seminar, the two spoke about DRC - UNDP cooperation.

The seminar's sponsors were the DRC's Research Department of Social Development and UNDP. Taking part was Ge Yanfeng, director-general of the DRC's Social Development Research Department.
