Yang was head of DRC "Tracking Study of China's Industrial Development" project, 1994-2004, which established one of China's largest industrial and economic development databases, with several dozen participants, including ministerial, industrial management, financial and investment institutions, and other enterprises taking part in the supervision and analysis of problems in major industries.
