Abstract：

At present, many issues in regional economic development are related to the inadequate development of regional coordination mechanism. In spite of the fact that governments at various levels have adopted certain measures to cope with these issues such as the establishment of regional cooperation organizations, the implementation of inter-administrative regional plans and the adjustment of administrative regional divisions, there is still a long way to go compared with the requirement of an effective regional coordination mechanism. For the purpose of building such a mechanism, it is necessary to make authoritative national land planning, to straighten out the planning and management system, to establish regional coordination mechanism with coordination and arbitration functions in areas with fast urbanization development and to make reforms on the examination of the working performance of local cadres.
