Abstract:
In the beginning of 2004, the situation witnessed great pressure due to widespread bird flue and a consecutive decline of grain output. Up to now, the food grain production has been driven up by the effective new rural policies adopted by the central government; farm product market has become favorable under a good macroeconomic background and the growth rate of farmers' income has reached the crest over many years. However, the output of crops (food grains and cotton) is not easily predicable which relies heavily on the weather conditions. In 2004 the farmers' income growth rate will exceed that of 2003 thanks to a variety of favorable factors.
