Abstract:
After analyzing the movement of price level between January and May 2002, the various factors resulting in decline of price level at present and the trend of the price level, the paper predicts that the price level will remain low for the whole year. The paper also sheds light on the causes for the low price level and comes up with short-term policy proposals.
