Abstract:

At present the number of products traded actively in China's futures market is very few and the trade volume is shrinking. This is rather incompatible with the steadily growing national economy and the gradually improving socialist market economic system. Taking into account the fact that China is already a member of WTO and the new situation of the global economic integration and the integration of domestic and foreign markets, the functions and roles of futures market should be re-considered and the policy for futures market should be readjusted to promote the standard development of China's futures market.
