Abstract:

To invigorate the old industrial base in North-East China, new sources of economic growth need to be actively fostered and the three industries be promoted in a balanced way. With its superior resource conditions, the tourism industry in northeast China should be taken as a key sector to drive up the economy. Therefore, in the development, efforts should be focused on the following aspects: to have a comprehensive overall planning, to straighten out the system, to expand cooperation and marketing, to promote overall innovation, to take advantage of local features, to strengthen interaction and integration of sectors, to create reputable brand names, to expand employment in tourism sector, to promote opening-up to the outside world, and to strengthen ecological protection and infrastructure construction.
