Abstract:　

Voting right is a basic right for shareholders. To reduce the voting cost of shareholders is necessitated for protecting the interest of small and medium-sized shareholders. The development of modern information technology has offered possibility for reducing voting cost of shareholders. The paper examines the necessity, feasibility and obstacles of introducing electronic voting system into listed companies and on that basis presents some policy proposals for introducing the system.
