Abstract:
Trade in insurance service occupies an important position in trade in financial services. China's economy is in the stage of taking off. The rapid improvement in living standard and the increase in risks at this stage have provided enormous potential market for insurance sector. The WTO accession will bring about opportunities and challenges for the development of service sector in China. Only appropriate handling of the challenges resulting from the WTO accession will guarantee the healthy development of insurance sector.
