Abstract:

With a review on the historical evolution of consumer protection systems in developed countries, the paper gives a comprehensive introduction and analyses on the major legal organizational arrangements critical to consumer protection system. Six aspects are summed up in terms of the consumer protection systems, namely: class law suits, small volume complain court, consumer organization and/or government supported law suits, consumers' right to withdraw consumption contract, consumer procurator system and a product responsibility system.
