Abstract:
The agricultural land reform and a series of other agricultural land policies adopted in Taiwan in early 1950s effectively promoted development of agriculture and rural economy. However, along with the acceleration of economic growth and industrialization process, the comparative efficiency of agriculture declined and the problem of small scale of agricultural land operation became more and more conspicuous. With a view to meeting the challenges in the new century for agricultural land use and management, the Taiwan authorities amended Agriculture Development Regulation, and adopted corresponding measures.
