Abstract:

The bio-industry is one of the much favored hi-tech industries all over the world. Different policies are taken in the US, the European and Asian countries to promote the bio-industry, but they share some common features, i.e. to support the industry based on local conditions in financing, technology, and human resources. The governments play a big role in making supportive policies. Experiences helpful to China’s bio-industry can be drawn from the market-oriented economies.
