Li Wei, President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with a delegation from the Communist Party of Cuba led by Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first Vice-President of Cuba's Council of State on May 25 in Beijing.
The two sides discussed China's experiences in reform and the progress in opening up to the global community, examining how this reform could be expanded in a comprehensive way and the trade between China and Cuba.
Also taking part in the meeting were Mr. Alberto J. Blanco Silva, Cuba's Ambassador to China, Cheng Guoqiang, Director-General of DRC's International Cooperation Department, Hou Yongzhi, Director-General of its Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, Zhao Jinping, Director-General of its Research Department of Foreign Economic Relations, and Wei Qiang, Director-General of the Bureau Ⅴof the International Department of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China (CPC).
