The Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC)'s Research Institute of Resources and Environment Policies held a seminar on energy security in Beijing on June 23.
The meeting discussed five major topics: the new global energy pattern and future prospects and their impant on China's energy security; the world oil and gas reform and global energy security; the development of China's oil and gas futures market and its relation with national energy security; the influence of Belt and Road Initiative and energy reform on China's energy security; and significant factors for China's future energy security strategy.
Experts from the International Energy Agency (IEA), IHS, Peking University, North China Electric Power University, Party School of the Central Committee of Communist Party of China, State Grid Energy Research Institute, and Chinese Academy of Social Science, took part in the seminar.
Gao Shiji, Director General of the DRC's Research Institute of Resources and Environment Policies, gave the meeting's concluding speech, with Guo Jiaofeng, assistant to Director General presiding.
