Li Wei, President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with Oliver Letwin, Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster, UK Cabinet Office, on July 31, in Beijing, and they talked about the Sino-British Development Forum to be held in October, 2015. Li also introduced China's economic situation during their meeting.

Taking part in this meeting were DRC's Cheng Guoqiang, Director-General, Jiang Xiheng, Vice-Director-General of the International Cooperation Department, Hou Yongzhi, Director-General of the Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, Zhao Changwen, Director-General of the Research Department of Industrial Economy, and Zhao Jinping, Director-General of the Research Department of Foreign Economic Relations.
