A seminar discussing relations between China and the world took place on Sept 9 in Beijing. State Councilor Yang Jiechi sent a letter of congratulation.
Participants dwelled on such topics as China's development prospects, new relations between great powers, Sino-European cooperation, and the Belt and Road Initiative.
The seminar was held by the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC) and the Center for International relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD) at Beijing's Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
DRC President Li Wei met with the foreign guest speakers, including Vuk Jeremić, President of the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development (CIRSD), and entrepreneurs including Richard Li, President of Pacific Century Cyber Works (PCCW).
Around 350 participants from government bodies, foreign organizations, companies, universities and media took part in the seminar.
CIRSD President Vuk Jeremić presided over the meeting, which was also attended by Cheng Guoqiang, Director-General, Jiang Xiheng, Vice-Director-General of DRC's International Cooperation Department, and Tao Pingsheng, Vice-Director-General of DRC's General Office.
