Li Wei, President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with Stephen Perry, chairman of 48 Group Club, on Sept 10 in Beijing. They exchanged views on rule of law, China's economic and financial situation, and the Belt and Road Initiative.

Also taking part were DRC leaders Hou Yongzhi, Director-General of Department of Regional Economy and Development Strategy, Zhao Jinping, Director-General of Department of Foreign Economic Relations, and Jiang Xiheng, Vice-Director-General of International Cooperation Department, and officials from the International Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the CPC.
