Li Wei, President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with Helen Clark, Administrator of the United Nations Development Programme on Oct 16 in Beijing. Both sides exchanged views on sustainable development, poverty reduction, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the Silk Road Think Tank Network.

Zhang Laiming, Vice-President of DRC, and Alain Noudehou, Representative of United Nations Development Programme in China, signed a memorandum of understanding, witnessed by Li and Clark.

Also attending were Cheng Guoqiang and Jiang Xiheng, Director-General and Vice-Director-General of DRC's International Cooperation Department, and Ge Yanfeng, Director-General of DRC's Research Department of Social Development.
