Gao Shiji, Director-General of the Institute for Resources and Environment Policies (IREP), Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met a delegation of British experts on Jan 13.
They exchanged views on climate change, food security and water resource management.
The British delegation included Tim Benton, UK Champion for Global Food Security and a professor of biology at the University of Leeds, Sean Williams, analyst and critic of the Global Food Security programme, Tim Hess, associate professor in Water Management of the Cranfield Water Sciences Institute, Lu Yuelai, General Coordinator of Secretariat Office of China-UK Sustainable Agriculture Innovation Network (SAIN) and Zheng Qi, Project Officer of British Embassy.
Zhang Yongsheng, Deputy Director General at Development Research Center of DRC, Deputy Director General of Research Institute of Resources and Environment Policies of DRC, Gu Shuzhong, Chen Jianpeng and Li Weiming were also present.
