Li Wei, president of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), led a delegation to Serbia at the invitation of Vuk Jeremic, formerly Serbia's Minister of Foreign Affairs and President of the 67th session of the United Nations General Assembly, on May 28-31.
Li held talks with Tomislav Nikolić, the President of Serbia, Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, Ivica Dačić, the Minister of Internal Affairs and Serbian Economy Minister Zeljko Sertic and exchanged views on Sino-Serbia relations, economic and trade cooperation and co-construction of the Belt and Road.
During the visit, Li attended a meeting hosted by the Centre for International Relations Studies and Development (CIRSD), and delivered a speech on China's economic situation and development potential. He also was interviewed by Serbian television and Politika, a Serbian daily newspaper.
Cheng Guoqiang, director-general of DRC's International Cooperation Department, Hou Yongzhi, director general of the Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, Zhao Jinping, director-general of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations and Tao Pingsheng, vice-director-general of DRC’s General Office were present.
