The deepening of the reform should be focused on the following aspects: firstly, the public health service and its public attribute should be further enhanced, and the reform of the mechanism needs to be promoted actively; secondly, greater efforts should be made to accelerate the reform of the health care system and to abandon the profit-seeking mechanism; thirdly, the health care system should be fully integrated to boost its fairness and management; fourthly, efforts should be made from both the supply side and the demand side so as to solve problems in the pharmaceutical field; and finally, the development of the informatization of medical and health services should be accelerated so that the ability to analyze and utilize health data will be improved. Meanwhile, to meet the people’s expectations for improved health care, efforts should be made to fully implement free pre-pregnancy checkups and parturition services, and push ahead with drug pricing negotiations and service support capacity for infectious and chronic diseases as well as items with little input but with great political and social significance.
