Long Guoqiang, Vice President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with Robert D. Hormats, the chairman of the advisory board for the RAND Center for Asia Pacific Policy, on Dec 7.
The two sides exchanged views on China’s role in improving global trade and the financial order, the government and market’s role in reforming and innovation, and the methods to realize green production and green consumption.
Hou Yongzhi, Director General of DRC’s Research Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, introduced the goals and implementation of the 13th Five-year Plan.
Jiang Xiheng, Vice-Director-General of the DRC’s International Cooperation Department and Liu Peilin and Xuan Xiaowei, research fellows from DRC’s Department of Development Strategy and Regional Economy, were in attendance.
