Liu said that he wished the Center for International Knowledge on Development (CIKD) will help China’s work in global governance, with support from the DRC, will help with China’s role in global governance.

As an independent institution affiliated with DRC, CIKD is mandated to pool Chinese and international resources to advance development studies, undertake research on development theories and practices, and promote research and knowledge-sharing on international development issues, including the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. CIKD was officially launched in August 2017.
