Abstract: Bike sharing is a newly-emerged mode providing bike renting services and reshaping the traditional bike industry through integrating the new information technologies such as the mobile Internet, the Internet of Things (IoT) and big data. The introduction of smart locks, GPS chips and new materials has enabled bikes to shift to a new business mode by way of intelligent management upgrading, ubiquitous networking and platform-based operation, changing the development path of traditional bike industry lasting for years and effectively solving the last hurdle problem relating to public transportation. Bike sharing makes good reference and enlightenments for traditional industries to borrow muscles from the rapidly developing technologies, innovate the operation modes and complete the service-oriented transformation. However, relevant research findings show that shared bikes are facing some new problems such as insufficient Internet support, inappropriate localized management and improper social coordinated governance. Therefore, this paper suggests that these problems should be solved through the shifting of growth drivers from old to new, further improving the Internet infrastructure, widely applying technologies such as the IOT and building an inclusive and open social environment to dissolve the risks with joint efforts and ensure the sound and rapid development of the new economic mode and business form.
Key words: bike sharing mode, the Internet Plus industrial reform, demand for policy adjustment
