Lin Jiabin

Research fellow and inspector, Research Department of Social Development, Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC)

Lin Jiabin graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua University in 1982. Lin studied at the University of Tokyo, sponsored by the government, majoring in regional planning in October 1983.

He worked in the United Nations Center for Regional Development (UNCRD) from 1990 to 1995 and began work in the DRC in July 1995.

He is also a member of the China Society of Natural Resources (CSNR) standing council, vice-president of the Regional Science Association of China (RSAC), director of the China Society of Regional Economy, and director of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC). He is a part-time professor at Renmin University.

Awards:

First place at the China Development Research Award for participating in the completion of the report "Research on the Cross-Century Regional Coordinated Development Strategy", 1997.

Second place at the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award for participating in the completion of the report "Study on the Measures to Revive Beijing's Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises", 1998.

First place at the China Development Research Award for participating in the completion of the report "Research on the Reform and Development of State-Owned Enterprises", 2001.

First place at the China Development Research Award for the report "Methods to Improve Public Service in China's Western Rural Areas", 2007.

First place at the China Development Research Award for participating in the completion of the report "Study on the Land Resources Strategy", 2011.

Lin received a special allowance from the State Council in 2004.
