Zhang Junkuo, Vice-President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), led a delegation to Shanxi province for inspection of economic development from May 23 to 25.

The delegation visited Taiyuan, Jincheng, and Changzhi to survey the macro economy and shifts in economic driving forces in these cities.

Zhang listened to analysis of economic developments in Taiyuan, and to reports on economic transformation and upgrading, cultivation of new driving forces, and how to achieve high-quality development.

The delegation visited enterprises and industrial parks in Jincheng and Changzhi, where they learned about industrial transformation and upgrading and the future development of the macro economy. The delegation also discussed economic development with local government officials.
