DRC Vice-President visits South Korea and Japan

Zhang Laiming, Vice-President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), led a delegation to South Korea and Japan from November 28 to December 5.

During his visit in South Korea, Zhang attended the World Forum hosted by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and spoke at the special round-table discussion. He talked with Mario Pezzini, Director of the OECD Development Centre, to strengthen inter-agency cooperation between the two sides.

The delegation visited the Research Institute of Health and Social Affairs to study South Korea's policy on aging population, and visited the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy to strengthen exchanges between the two institutions.

In Japan, Zhang attended a seminar on "Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of China's Reform and Opening-up and Sino-Japanese Economic and Trade Cooperation" and delivered a speech.

The delegation visited Japanese pension experts to study Japanese policies and measures to tackle the aging population issue.
