Wang Wei, director-general of the Institute of Market Economy at the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), went to Shanghai to attend the first China International Import Expo(CIIE) Logistics Industry Forum -- 2018 Global Trade and International Logistics Summit Forum on November 8.
Leaders and representatives of government, associations, organizations, and domestic and foreign manufacturing cargo owner enterprises and other enterprises, as well as well-known logistics companies and media, attended the event.
Wang made a speech on the theme of “New Global Logistics Patterns and China Logistics Innovation”. She said that logistics innovation is the most important service innovation in the world and has become a new focus of countries participating in global competition.
At present, the deepening of globalization is pushing the global logistics system to accelerate adjustment and innovation. The global economic growth and trade focus is shifting from developed countries to developing countries, and infrastructure interconnection is also accelerating. A new round of technological revolution is leading to logistics innovation.
Innovation in the business environment and institutional mechanisms with the core of promoting competition and improving efficiency is the necessary foundation for the logistics industry to achieve innovative development, such as mechanism construction, policy support, and regulation reform.
