Abstract: Infrastructure connectivity is the base for promoting high-quality collaborative development in the old revolutionary base areas along the Hunan-Jiangxi border. The connectivity and sharing of infrastructure facilities in terms of transportation, communications, energy and water conservancy is conducive to the smoother flow of resources between regions, stronger endogenous driving force for regional economic development and better services to improve people’s well-being. Currently, the infrastructure construction in the old revolutionary base areas along the Hunan-Jiangxi border still needs to be improved in aspects of consistent planning, systematic construction and coordinated operation and management. Therefore, the supporting and leading role of infrastructure connectivity for high-quality regional economic development needs to be given a fuller play. It is necessary to have a sound cross-regional infrastructure coordination mechanism, unified planning, and a smart integrated and networked regional transportation system. We need to accelerate the infrastructure construction in the field of modern information, collaborate on building comprehensive energy, and coordinately advance the infrastructure construction in water conservancy. Besides, the platform for infrastructure operation across regions needs to be set up, so as to enhance the level of integrated operation and management.
