Tao Pingsheng, Director of the International Cooperation Department of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), met with John Edwards, the British trade envoy to China, on Sept 8.

They exchanged views on joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative, third-party market cooperation, interconnectivity of international rules and standards, strengthening of international cooperation mechanisms, and cooperation between Chinese and British institutions.
