Ma Jiantang, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), attended a World Bank high-level online meeting focusing on how the world will finance energy transition on Oct 12, and delivered a keynote speech on China’s energy transition and financing tools in the context of its carbon peak and neutrality goals.

The meeting was hosted by Axel van Trotsenburg, World Bank Managing Director of Operations. John F. Kerry, US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate, Sri Mulyani Indrawati, Finance Minister of Indonesia, Fatih Birol, Executive Director of the International Energy Agency, Mark Carney, UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance, and Afsaneh Mashayekhi Beschloss, Founder and CEO of RockCreek Group, also delivered speeches at the meeting.
