There was a seminar on natural resource assets management system, May 17-18, in Shijiazhuang, the capital of Hebei province, with sponsorship from the Research Institute of Resources and Environment Policies of the Development Research Center of the State Council, the Policy Research Special Commission of the China Society of Natural Resources and the Shijiazhuang University of Economics.

The seminar involved discussions of theoretical and practical issues related to natural resource assets, including assets evaluation, return on assets, and profit distribution. Natural resource assets management is an important part of China's systemic ecological innovations, and an important part of the country's reforms in natural resources administration, seminar participants explained.

And it is important for implementing usage control systems for China's natural resources. It will also help improve the State-owned assets management and profit distribution systems and give impetus to the reforms and improvements in the performance assessment methods of officials.
