Abstract：

Regionalism is changing the world economic pattern and the domino effect for regional trade liberalization has spread worldwide. Regional economic cooperation for East Asia is witnessing a fast development. If China, Japan and Republic of Korea respectively establishes free trade relations with ASEAN, it is not the best option neither for the three countries nor for ASEAN. China, Japan and Republic of Korea should play a more active role in regional economic cooperation in East Asia, improve the established mechanism for dialogues and co-ordinations among the three governments, build up comprehensive economic partnership and combine the trilateral consulting institutions together and carry out joint research on the relations between regional trade liberalization and industrial division.
