Abstract:
The rules of origin were initially made to meet the need of counting up the total volume of import and export. With the development of economic globalization, the rules of origin have become more and more adaptable to various economic fields and are having a greater impact on international trade. The present rules of origin in China are too general. They not only lag behind the development of the rules of origin abroad, but are not compatible with the development of international relations and the needs of the economic and trade activities. The rules of origin should be improved so as to give free rein to their role for economic development.
