Abstract:
Whether to continuously provide preferential policies to enterprises with foreign investment has become one of the controversial issues at present. The paper starts with an introduction of some new trends of FDI abroad and features of policies by some countries in absorbing foreign investment. It gives a comparative analysis of the pressures and difficulties faced by China in participating in world investment competition. It regards that at present the abolition of preferential policies towards enterprises with foreign investment will be detrimental to the future economic growth and structural adjustment in China. It suggests that the policy to encourage foreign investment should be continuously implemented and appropriate transitional means should be adopted for the realization of the medium and long-term targets in ultimately unifying the policies for both Chinese and foreign enterprises.
