Production and sales of sedan car in China kept a robust growth momentum in the first quarter of 2004. Total output was 889,000, a 29.72% growth year-on-year; total sales stood at 885,600, a 30.16% year-on-year increase. The supply and demand was balanced. However, the accumulated growth in output and sales both dropped from the same period of last year. In 2004 the overall supply of sedan car will exceed the demand in China. The predicted annual output will grow by 37%~42% over the same period of last year， while annual demand will grow by 30%~35% year-on-year. At the same time，the sedan car price in general will continue to decline by 8% as predicted.
