Abstract：

Among network industries, the function of technological standards is to guarantee the compatibility of products whereas technological standards are apt to become a new tool for industrial competition. The strategic thinking for technological standards of network industries is patentized technology, standardized patent and globalized standards. The technological standards are beneficial for giving free rein to the network characteristics of network industries, but the monopolized patent might lead to unfair competition. The government should play its function in two aspects. First, it should formulate and protect the rules and bring into full play the advantages of technological standards while curbing the negative side. Second, it should help increase the competitive edge of domestic enterprises.
