Abstract:
In 2003, China's IT market maintained a momentum of rapid growth with progress made in formulating the strategies for autonomous intellectual property rights and the standards. However, trade frictions with major trading partners will produce unfavorable impact on the further development of the industry. In 2004, the market environment and policy climate for the IT industry tend to be further improved. The demand for telecommunications, the main electronic information products, software and information service will expand, while competition will tend to be severe. In this new development stage, China should adjust its strategic targets and speed up the construction of industrial associations so as to create the competitive advantages for enterprises.
