Abstract:

Beijing's export businesses are impacted by technical barriers in textile, light industry, pharmacy, foodstuffs, animal products and electromechanical products. A wide range of industries and products are facing the problem, not only the hi-tech ones, but also traditional industries such as garment and farm products, which have resulted in higher cost, declining competitiveness and less market opportunities. At present, Beijing's export businesses especially the traditional products are exposed to sever technical barriers; negative influences are spreading to other related business sectors.
